2005 AWARD FOR
BUSINESS DISTINCTION
Beginning 2005 EBCA
introduces the Award for Business Distinction, and the Award for Individual
Excellence to recognize creative business responses to HIV and AIDS in
companies operating in Ethiopia. The 2005 Award will be presented in May, in
Addis Ababa at a
Dinner with the
Federal Republic of Ethiopia’s President Girma Wolde Ghiorgis
The purpose of the
Awards is to identify and promote the best of models of good practice
adopted by companies in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
ELIGIBILITY
The Awards
are restricted to businesses operating in Ethiopia. Applications are
encouraged from companies from all industrial sectors, geographical regions
and workforce size. We highly recommend that applications be submitted for
programs that are currently being implemented. Programs that include
monitoring and evaluation components are particularly welcomed.
NOMINATION
Companies may be
nominated for an award by an NGO or public sector partners, but the entry
must be made by the company itself. Nominated companies are expected to
share their experiences with members of EBCA.
SELECTION
The expert judging
panel is led by members of the EBCA with representatives of UNAIDS and HABCO
and organizations of people living with HIV/AIDS.
Successful entries
will show:

How the
companies HIV/AIDS program came about
-
How the
program is managed within the overall company structure
-
Detail
results of any monitoring or evaluation of the program
Entry questionnaire
containing the above information including picture and short videos as well
as supportive documents should be submitted for each nominee.
